Wow! I cannot believe how fast the last two years have flown by. A lot of things have happened in my personal life since my last entry on this site which made it difficult for me to continue writing posts and sharing my work with others. Now that my personal life has finally settled down some, I am able to get back to doing what I love and also share my thoughts on writing with my fellow authors.
My posts will not be as frequent as before, maybe only once a week at first due to my lack of internet, but I plan to post as often as I can because I really did miss this site and connecting with other writers. So, I’m happy to say I’m back and I hope to make this site a place others will enjoy visiting.
It’s during the early morning hours when I am most eager to write. My mind is fresh and usually clear of the previous day’s worries. My fingers literally itch to hit the keyboard and type out the numerous thoughts that freely drift into my mind. I am an addict to this wonderful gift that has plagued my life. Being a writer is a lonely, time-consuming, maddening, enlightening, and frightful lifestyle, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Creating makes my soul sing. Continue reading
At this moment, I wish I could say that my life is where I want it to be. But it’s not. Like everyone else, I have battles in my personal life that I am striving to overcome. For the first time in my life, I am on my own. I cannot rely on anyone but myself to make my dreams a reality. It’s scary most days and difficult to stay positive sometimes, but I can’t give up. “Just so you know, I am really not liking Jake at the moment,” said my best friend with a disapproving glare. I smiled mischievously and looked away from her. She was referring to Jake Hansen who is the leading man in my second novel, I will Keep You Safe. I knew exactly where she was in the book the moment she voiced her dislike of my character.
